Cell Phones and Children

Yesterday during literacy we read “Cell Phones and Children.” The focus of this lesson was for students to identify the stance of the author on this topic, as well as identifying the reasons and evidence from the text. After explicit modeling on my part, students read the last three paragraphs and completed the above task. It was a valuable lesson because students have to underline the author’s reason and evidence, as well as annotating. Attached in the passage so you can reinforce this at home.
