“Close Readings”

We have been working on “Close Reading” in Reader’s Workshop.  “Close Reading” is used to help us better understand what we’re reading.  We’ve also learned how to annotate text as we’re reading, to help break down complex text.  Here is an example of some “close reading” annotation that we practiced.
